Although the labels are white, but their special appearance reflects the commitment to recycling very well. The new PE labels made from recycled material are ideal for sustainable products and packaging.
The authentic look is created by small specks, which can be seen on closer inspection. These so-called gels are arise during the recycling process and cannot be entirely avoided. For the end-users, however, it signal that the labels has genuinely been produced from recycled waste.
Plastic cannot always be avoided. But it’s important that the concept of sustainability is also taken into account here. With the new PE labels produced from recycled material, a material cycle has been create that is new in this form.
For HERMA, it is another approach how labels can optimising the environmental footprint of packaging. The labels are permanently adhesive and for universal use on a wide range of surfaces.
In a related project, HERMA also recently presented the new wash-off labels. In order to facilitate the recovery of pellets that are as pure as possible, the aim is to remove the label materials and adhesive from plastic packaging without either leaving any residues or adversely affecting the labels´ adhesive properties. The higher the pellet purity, the more likely it is that plastic packaging can actually be recycled.
