HERMA „Thin Range“ labels – conserving resources making use of advantages

Being economical in a sustainable way also means optimising the use of resources. With the “Thin Range” labels, which weigh less thanks to thinner labelling papers and specially adjusted adhesives, HERMA now offers a way to save costs, space and resources.

The labels are especially light and supple that ensures the durable, safe labelling of different surfaces. The surface is designed for optimal printability and toner anchorage through all xerographic printing procedures. The label sheets are thus suitable for desktop laser printers, copiers and numerous inkjet printers.

Especially for products with small radii, for example in hospitals and laboratories, the “Thin Range” labels in combination with a special adhesive are beneficial. Due to the low grammage of the new material, the rigidity and thus the restoring force of the labels that is usually noticeable, especially when adhering labels to delicate objects like vials or syringes, are minimised. In these circumstances in particular, a firm hold is essential – labels falling off could have dire consequences.

Permitted for direct food contact

Even for labels on rolls "thin-range labels" are suitable. Despite the “slimmed-down” material, users do not need to make any compromises – instead they benefit from a special added value. This is also due to the multi-layer technology developed by HERMA in which two adhesive layers with their own special properties are applied. This makes it possible to control adhesion and processing properties separately from each other.

The adhesive, which has been optimised for the Thin Range, ensures good initial adhesion (tack) and at the same time effectively reduces the migration of adhesives. The adhesive has received the ISEGA certificate for direct food contact – on dry, moist and oily surfaces (reduction factor 3).
