Application and use
HERMA PE white UV Laser is particularly suitable for UV laser labelling with variable data. UV laser marking enables a colour change without material ablation and is also absolutely smudge and scratch resistant. The laser marking is high-contrast and machine-readable, making it an efficient solution for pharmaceutical and cosmetics applications with e.g. variable batch number, date of expiry and QR code.
In addition, the glossy, corona pretreated surface of HERMA PE white UV Laser can also be printed using conventional printing processes. Before printing we recommend to freshen up the corona pretreatment.
Thanks to the high flexibility of this PE film even curved surfaces may be labelled without any problems as well as squeezable packaging.

Regulations concerning contact with food
HERMA PE white is in compliance with Commission Regulations (EC) no. 1935/2004 and (EU) no. 10/2011 and subsequent amendment 1245/2020/EU on plastic materials and articles intended to come into contact with food and furthermore with the Commission Regulation (EC) no. 2023/ 2006 on good manufacturing practice for materials and articles intended to come into contact with food. The film may come into contact with dry, aqueous, acidic, alcoholic and fatty foodstuffs.
