Application and use
The adhesive has been specifically developed for label applications where residue-free removal of the label material in the PET and HDPE recycling stream is required. In addition, the transparent adhesive is also suitable for applications on glass and PP surfaces, providing good resistance to aging, heat, and light.
72Hpw has been certified as recycling-compatible in various material combinations by the institute cyclos-HTP and meets the recycling requirements for PET (80 °C) and HDPE (40 °C).
Polypropylene (PP) films in combination with 72Hpw are approved by RecyClass as fully compatible with the rigid HDPE recycling stream.
Storage conditions and shelf life
Storing at a temperature of 20 ± 5 °C, a relative humidity of 45 ± 5 % and a dark storage is recommended. Moisture, heat and direct sunlight have to be avoided.
Regulations concerning contact with food
The pressure-sensitive adhesive 72Hpw can be safely used for the back coating of labels for the labelling of foodstuffs for storage at room temperature and below. It may be used in direct contact with dry, moist and fatty foodstuffs that can be assigned a correction factor of at least 2 in accordance with Regulation (EU) No. 10/2011.
